Ridge Vineyards, our esteemed and longest-standing partner at Soirée du Vin, invites you and five friends to a stunning winery location, for an Estate Tasting Experience. Enjoy a seated tasting flight of five single-vineyard wines from their renowned estate vineyards in Sonoma County and the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Ridge has pioneered single-vineyard wine making since 1962, and at either the Monte Bello or Lytton Springs locations, you will have the opportunity to experience the estate wines known throughout the world for their excellence and distinctive sense of place.
Ridge’s Monte Bello Cabernet “introduced Ridge to the world” and is known as the winery’s “flagship” wine. This glossy dark vintage has impressed wine lovers with its concentrated, deep flavors and aromas. Enthusiasts have flocked to this wine since it gained international fame at the Judgment of Paris, and it continues to stun with its elegance and complexity.
In addition to the tasting experience, you will take home a double magnum (3L) bottle of the impeccable 2018 Monte Bello Cabernet. According to the winemaker, “Though summer was foggy and cold, the vines received abundant sunshine and warmth that ripened the grapes by early October. Reduced pump-overs during fermentation helped moderate tannin extraction. Assembled by blind-taste, twenty-two lots came together to make this superb vintage. Sensuous and showing great complexity, it will be enjoyable over the next thirty years.”
